Syrup Logo
Reflection
Marilyn Monroe is pictured in a black and white photo with a popular hair style that is kind of curled/crimped. There is a tie-dye background with a filtered text with a fun font. I chose to put my face on Marilyn Monroe's face because I chose the 50's and she was a famous actress who was most popular in the 50's and early 60's, I also made the color scheme tie-dye because that was popular back in the 50's but mostly in the 60's. I used the type on a path tool to make my text curve because it was on a circle, I used the clipping mask tool to put my face on Marilyn's and make it one layer, I used a gradient to make my background tie-dye. I also added some filters and used blending options on my text. |
What era does your logo represent?
50's and also 60's What design choices did you make to represent your era?(hair style, colors, fonts, prints or patterns, etc.) I Chose a tie dye background and used Marilyn Monroe's face for mine. Are ALL logo project requirements fulfilled? (Edited photo, clipping mask, type on a bath, blending options, refine edge tool?) Yes I used type on a path, clipping mask, blending options, gradient, filters, etc. What tools did you use and where? I used type on a path for the title up my syrup, clipping mask to put my face on Marilyn's face and make it one layer,I used the contour blending option for my title, a gradient background, and I used a smart filter on my title. Is there anything you wish you could add or change to make the logo look more professional? What are some other tools or pieces that can be added to make the most of Photoshop tools? To make it look more professional I could probably change the color scheme to more basic colors. Also I could have done a different shape instead of a circle to make it a little wider. |
Recipe Book
|
For my first recipe I made the background brown and added shapes to put the text in. I put an image of my dessert in the back and lowered the opacity so the words can be seen over the image. I used blending options and gave my title a outer glow. For my second recipe I made the background an image of my other dessert and had the opacity low enough to put text on it. I used the shape tool to border my image. I added text and borders it with rectangles from the shape tool. I also made the table of contents. I made the background blue and used white text.

Can Label
|
For my can label I decided to do good grades in a can. For my label I made the background blue and had the text white. For my image of my product I got a picture of a can and letter grades. I then used the magnetic lasso tool to outline the letters and drag them onto the can. For my nutrition facts I made the lines with the shape/line tool.
